Olivia Zimmerman

Instructor - Tap and Turns, Leaps, Strength and Flexibility

Olivia is a native of Nashville, Tennessee and graduate of Hume-Fogg Academic Magnet School. She then went on to the University of Alabama where she earned a BA in Dance and minor in Nutrition. Post-grad, she completed an acting apprenticeship at Aurora Theatre in Atlanta, GA where she performed in musicals such as Newsies, the world premiere of Men with Money, and Children of Eden. Shortly after, she returned to Nashville where she took on her first offstage-swing role in Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer at the legendary Grand Ole Opry! In January of 2020 Olivia moved to NYC to continue in her pursuit of musical theatre as well as searching for the best bagel in Manhattan, but the Covid-19 pandemic cut her time short. Teaching at BDC brings her full circle as she grew up dancing at the studio from 2000-2014. In addition to sharing her love of dance with the students at BDC, Olivia is also studying to become an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach!
