Jennifer Taylor started as a dancer in the Competitive Dance Team world over 10 years ago in Memphis, Tennessee. Her career progressed dancing at the National Dance Team Competition in Orlando, FL in the Large Varsity pom and hip-hop divisions placing Top 10 in the United States. At the age of 18, she stepped into her professional dancing career for the NBA Memphis Grizzlies Dance Team as a Grizz Girl. While balancing her time on the court and as a student at the University of Memphis she coached a local Memphis competitive middle school dance team for 7 years winning two National Dance Team titles in the hip-hop division. During Jennifer’s coaching career, she coached two high school dance teams competing in the Large Varsity Division. Her passion for dance and the Memphis Tigers continued as she danced for the 13-time National Champion Dance Team; Memphis Pom. In 2015, her University of Memphis chapter ended with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication of the Arts/Journalism. Her love for the hip-hop style, choreography, and teaching has brought her back to teach at Bellevue Dance Center this year and she couldn't be more ecstatic to meet her new students!
