Artistic Director, Instructor & Owner
Jennifer began dancing at the age of 5 and became a member of the Jackson Purchase Dance Company in the 1990s. She danced various roles in Where the Wild Things Are, Aesop’s Fables, and Cinderella. She also trained with artists from Nashville Ballet, Circle Modern Dance, New York City Ballet, Western Kentucky University, and the Kentucky Dance Theatre. She also attended Governor’s School of the Arts in the summer of 1996.
Jennifer further pursued dance at Webster University, where she was a member of Webster Dance Ensemble and Webster Dance Theatre. She performed and trained with teachers from New York, Colorado, and Missouri. She has served as performer, teacher, and ballet mistress for the Intercity Ballet Theatre of Kingsport, TN, performing roles in Graduation Ball and several in The Nutcracker, including Sugar Plum Fairy. She earned a degree in Psychology and began a second career in counseling. Since moving to Nashville in 2007, Jennifer has taught dance at Green Hills School of Dance, Sheridan School of Dance, and helped create strength and conditioning classes for Kristen Butke School of Irish Dance.
Jennifer owned a dance studio and dancewear store in Franklin, TN, as well as pioneered an after-school dance program in the Bellevue area, doubling enrollment every year. Finally, Jennifer has choreographed and performed for Epiphany Dance Company to further her training locally. She is excited to use this experience to further develop dancers at Bellevue Dance Center. Her passion is to lead students that have never danced before and prepared them for performance.
